Taking your vehicle outside the country |
|
You can take the vehicle out of Kenya into Tanzania or Uganda, the following charges will apply:-
USD 465.00 + 16% VAT per day for a 4x4 vehicle
USD 310.00 + 16% VAT per day for a saloon vehicle
You must return the vehicle to a rental location in Kenya.
3 working days notice is required in order to prepare the required documentation to take the vehicle out of Kenya.

Waiver and protection options |
|
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver reduces your liability if the vehicle is damaged. If the vehicle is damaged you will pay the cost of repair up to the excess amount.
CDW is included in most rates sold on Budget websites.
CDW is available at this location. The costs and excess charges are detailed in the table below. If your rate includes CDW this cost is already included in your rental price.
Theft Protection (TP)
Theft Protection reduces your liability if the vehicle is stolen (subject to an excess). The costs and excess charges are detailed in the table below. If your rate includes Theft Protection this cost is already included in your rental price.

Third Party Liability
Third Party Liability covers drivers in case of damage, including damage to passengers and their property, when using a Budget vehicle.

Delivery and collection |
|
Delivery and collection services are available.
A charge of USD 30.00 will apply for deliveries to hotels within the limits of the city

Drivers license and ID requirements |
|
Each driver must show photographic proof of identity and their passport at the start of the rental. All drivers must present a full and current driving licence which has been held for at least 3 years. The licence must be valid for use in the renting country.
Licences in non- roman alphabet must be supported by an International driver's licence.

Fuel charges |
|
Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the rental. To avoid refuelling charges please return the car with a full tank of fuel.
If the fuel tank is not full we will fill the tank and charge you for the fuel.

One Way Rentals |
|
One way rentals are available from this location for a charge of USD 230.00 + VAT for vehicles hired in Nairobi and dropped off in Mombasa, Kisumu or vice versa. The return location must be in Kenya.

Collecting and returning your vehicle |
|
The driver must present proof of identity when collecting the vehicle. Please see the Driving Licence/ID Requirements section for more information.
During Office Hours
If you are delayed and arrive outside of office hours due to a delayed flight no additional charge will apply. This only applies if you enter your flight number when booking.
If you are late we will guarantee your rental for 2 hours. After this time your reserved car may be released and rented to another customer.
Out of Office Hours - Collection
It may be possible to collect the vehicle out of office hours. This must be requested at the time of booking. This service is not available if the rental is booked online.

If you do not collect the vehicle a "No Show" charge of 1 days rentals will apply.
Out of Office Hours - Return
If the vehicle is returned outside of office hours the driver is liable for damage or theft until the car has been inspected by a member of Budget staff.
You may return the vehicle out of hours if you request this at the time of booking. There is no charge for this service.
